Abu Dhabi University Makes it to THE's Top 200

UAE's Abu Dhabi University and Saudi Arabia's King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals have made it to the top 200 universities for the first time in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.

The list was revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Abu Dhabi University secured the 191st rank, while the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals secured the 176th position.
In the 2024 ranking, Abu Dhabi University had secured a 251-300 position, while King Fahd University had secured a 201-250 position, making the 2025 rankings a significant leap.
Other universities from the Arab region that have secured a spot in the top 400 are:
- Khalifa University: 201-250
- Qatar University: 201-250
- King Saud University: 251-300
- Lebanese American University: 251-300
- Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University: 251-300
- United Arab Emirates University: 251-300
- King Khalid University: 301-350
- University of Sharjah: 301-350
Along with Abu Dhabi University and King Fahd University, these universities are the top 10 universities in the Arab region.
The representation of universities from the Arab region in THE's rankings has increased significantly from 63 universities in 2020 to 163 universities in 2025.
