Spike Lee to Lead Directors' Program in Jeddah

The program will start on the end of April.

World-renowned director Spike Lee will lead an insightful Directors' Program in Jeddah from April 30 to May 3. 

The program is part of the Red Sea Labs, which is operated by the Red Sea Film Foundation. 

Directors will get to expand their skillset by learning about storytelling, industry insights, visual styles, directing techniques, and much more. 

Interested individuals can apply for the program here. The application deadline is Thursday, April 24. 

Spike Lee is an acclaimed American director, producer, writer, and actor known for his powerful and provocative films that explore issues of race, identity, and social justice.

He rose to prominence with his 1989 classic Do the Right Thing, a landmark film in American cinema. Other notable works include Malcolm X (1992), 25th Hour (2002), Inside Man (2006), and BlacKkKlansman (2018), which earned him his first Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Over his career, Lee has received numerous accolades, including an Honorary Oscar in 2016 and a BAFTA Award. He is widely recognised as a pioneering voice in African American filmmaking.
