The Women in Cinema gala dinner at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah brought Hollywood glamour and regional pride to the forefront.

The star-studded event featured luminaries like Emily Blunt, Eva Longoria, and Michelle Yeoh, alongside regional icons such as Mona Zaki, Saba Mubarak, Sarah Taibah, and Rym Saidi.
Longoria wowed in Elie Saab’s Fall 2024 couture, Michelle Yeoh graced the event in a stunning Schiaparelli gown, and Emily Blunt turned heads in a dramatic black Gucci creation.
The festival, now held in a brand-new venue with five purpose-built cinemas and a large auditorium, boasts a lineup of 120 films from 81 countries. Highlights include panels with celebrities and gala screenings of global cinematic gems.
Closing the festival is Michael Gracey’s Better Man, a semi-biographical film inspired by Robbie Williams. Other gala screenings include Johnny Depp’s Modi, Three Days on the Wing of Madness, Peter Chelsom’s holiday comedy A Sudden Case of Christmas, and Pablo Larrain’s biopic Maria, starring Angelina Jolie as opera legend Maria Callas.
From Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in We Live in Time to Jane Fonda’s narration in My Way, the festival is a cinematic celebration of talent, storytelling, and star power.
