Gordon Ramsay Academy Riyadh opens as the chef’s first culinary school outside the UK

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global and Al Khaleej Training & Education, Saudi Arabia's leading institution in education, training, and development, have officially announced the grand opening of the Gordon Ramsay Academy Riyadh. The launch marks the first time the world-renowned chef's academy has opened its doors outside of the United Kingdom, bringing Chef Ramsay's unparalleled culinary expertise to Saudi Arabia for the first time.

Located in Riyadh's rapidly growing Narjis district at Narjis View Mall, the purpose-built academy spans more than 1,000 square metres. It features three practical kitchens, a dedicated demonstration kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and specialist preparation spaces, all designed to create a premium culinary teaching environment for aspiring chefs and home cooks alike.

The inaugural programme focuses on leisure classes catering to all skill levels, from novice home cooks to those looking to refine their gastronomic techniques. Guests can enrol in a diverse range of courses including beef Wellington masterclasses, steak workshops, sushi making, baking, pasta preparation, East Asian cuisine, family cooking sessions, and junior chef programmes. Approximately 20 classes are scheduled to run weekly from Tuesday to Saturday.

"The next generation of culinary talent needs both passion and technical skills," said Chef Ramsay. "This academy will help transform that culinary passion into professional mastery."

Following the initial leisure class launch, the second phase of the academy will introduce professional training pathways with internationally recognised qualifications from the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH). The curriculum includes the Academy's Essential Cookery Skills Certificate and Professional Cookery Diploma, positioning the facility as a premier launchpad for future chefs.

The academy has received accreditation from both the Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Culinary Arts Commission of Saudi Arabia, supporting the delivery of professional programmes that strengthen vocational culinary education within the kingdom. When qualification tracks launch, the academy will also offer exclusive internship and job placement opportunities with premier industry partners, creating a direct pipeline to the global hospitality stage.

This Riyadh opening represents the latest evolution of the global brand, building on the successful 2021 debut of the flagship academy in Woking, UK, and the 2025 launch of the Gordon Ramsay x HexClad Academy in London.
