Hajj Ministry Launches Awareness Guide for Domestic Pilgrims

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a comprehensive awareness guide for domestic pilgrims to ensure a smooth and informed performance of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. The initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to enhancing pilgrims’ readiness and providing clear guidance on organizational procedures, safety measures, and ritual compliance.

The guide serves as a step-by-step companion for pilgrims, covering every stage of their journey—from early preparation and travel requirements to transportation logistics and adherence to approved schedules. It includes:

  • Detailed instructions for the Nusuk card, which grants access to the holy sites and the Grand Mosque, including its digital usage.
  • Contact information for service providers, the Pilgrims Care Center, and health and emergency services.
  • Illustrative maps of the holy sites, Hajj schedules, and transportation grouping instructions.
  • A simplified explanation of Hajj rituals, ensuring pilgrims perform them correctly while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Promoting Safety, Etiquette, and Operational Efficiency

Beyond logistical guidance, the guide emphasizes positive behaviors aligned with Hajj values, such as:

  • Managing crowding effectively
  • Preventing heat stress
  • Maintaining public cleanliness
  • Cooperating with organizers

These measures aim to enhance the spiritual experience while contributing to the overall efficiency of Hajj operations.

A Collaborative Effort

The initiative is the result of a partnership between multiple key entities, including:

  • Ministry of Interior
  • Ministry of Transport and Logistics
  • Ministry of Media (via the Unified Hajj Media Operations Center)
  • Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites
  • General Authority for Awqaf
  • General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque
  • Coordination Council for Institutions and Companies Serving Domestic Pilgrims (Mutahed)

How to Access the Guide

The ministry has urged domestic pilgrims to review the guide thoroughly before and during their journey. The awareness content is available for download at:
