Hajj Ministry Urges Pilgrims to Get Permits from Official Channels Only

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a stern advisory to prospective pilgrims, emphasizing the critical importance of securing Hajj permits solely through officially approved channels. The ministry reiterated that the specific Hajj visa is the only document that legally authorizes an individual to perform the pilgrimage rites in Mecca and Medina.

In a detailed statement, the ministry clarified that the permit application process must be completed strictly in accordance with established official procedures. This adherence is designed to guarantee an organized journey, covering every stage from the pilgrim's arrival in the Kingdom to the completion of the sacred rituals. The ministry explained that compliance with these permit requirements is not merely a bureaucratic formality but a fundamental component of the integrated ecosystem used for crowd management and safe movement within the holy sites.

By obtaining permits through the correct avenues, pilgrims ensure they can fully access the comprehensive services provided at the holy sites. Conversely, the ministry warned against engaging with unofficial agents or falling victim to fraudulent offers promising unauthorized permits or visas. Such dealings, the ministry noted, can result in severe consequences, including the inability to perform the rituals, exposure to legal penalties, and a lack of protection or support during the pilgrimage.

Recent enforcement actions underscore the seriousness of these regulations. Just hours prior to the advisory, Hajj Security Forces arrested ten individuals of Sudanese, Egyptian, and Yemeni nationalities in Makkah. These arrests followed attempts by the group to enter and remain in the city without valid Hajj permits, highlighting the ongoing efforts to maintain order and security.

The ministry stressed that the official channel is the only guarantee of a smooth and safe Hajj experience. Pilgrims are encouraged to verify the legitimacy of their service providers and to rely exclusively on the authorized platforms managed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to avoid disruptions to their spiritual journey.
