KSA Congratulates King Charles III on His Accession to the Throne

Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated King Charles III on his accession to the throne in Britain, while the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz sent a cable of congratulations to King Charles III on the occasion of his accession to the throne in the United Kingdom, expressing his aspiration for closer cooperation with Britain for the benefit of both countries.

Earlier, the Accession Council had officially declared Charles III king of Britain, two days after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles has vowed to follow in the footsteps of his late mother as he is formally proclaimed the new King of Britain in a historic ceremony at St James's Palace.
