KSA Prevents Trucks Entry to Riyadh Without Pre-Booking Permission

The Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA) and the competent authorities started on Tuesday, January 17, implementing the second phase of a decision to prevent the entry of trucks into Riyadh without pre-booking permission, in order to organize their entry.

The decision comes as part of the main service program, launched in cooperation with the Muroor and Mawani, for entering central cities in Saudi Arabia.

TGA said that the trucks' entry will be through advance online appointments to organize the trucks' flow, and prevent their congestion at the cities' entrances.

The decision will also contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of transportation and operational services, as well as reducing their costs by easing the entry of trucks in times of prohibition.

It also aims in providing data and information analysis to contribute to decision-making and the possibility of tracking trucks' routes.

Prohibition timings covered by the decision are from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and from 5-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
