NEOM Teams Up with Rajasthan Royals for First Ever Cricket Program

NEOM has teamed with Rajasthan Royals, one of the top T20 cricket teams in India, to deliver NEOM’s first ever cricket program.

The pilot program intends to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among the expanding workforce, which is expected to number 60,000 by the end of the year.

The Rajasthan Royals cricket team, which was established in 2008 and is from Jaipur, Rajasthan, is renowned for its academies and community foundation work.

Manoj Badale, the primary owner of the Rajasthan Royals, visited NEOM to celebrate the collaboration with the CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr.

The cricket program will emphasize diversity and is a reflection of the Royals' dedication to advancing cricket's growth and innovation on a global scale.

Cricket has emerged as one of the project's most well-liked sports, drawing increased participation and an increasing number of spectators among those working on site, with a workforce of thousands already based at NEOM.

Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation said: “It’s important that we develop a thriving cricket ecosystem that can be enjoyed by everyone. We are excited to see NEOM’s cricket program partnered by Rajasthan Royals offer that, while also contributing to the growth of the sport in the kingdom.’

The T20 cricket league will be held on-site at NEOM under the direction of the cricket program's expert partners, Rise and Red Bear Sports. It will have a community focus and be backed by a participation initiative that will be implemented by the year's end.
