New Guide Released for Pilgrims’ Safety in Last 10 Days of Ramadan

The Ministry of Interior has released an updated guide to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims during the final 10 days of Ramadan. The guide includes new instructions to ease the performance of rituals and ensure a smooth experience for pilgrims.

Pilgrims can use public transport buses from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah or nearby car parks to reach the Grand Mosque. Taxis and Haramain stations are also available to transport pilgrims to the nearest locations or residences.

For those in the central area and adjacent neighborhoods, walking or frequent use of public transportation services are convenient options. Additionally, non-Umrah pilgrims can drive private cars to drop off pilgrims near the mosque or their place of residence, before parking in designated areas and using public transportation.

The Ministry of Interior has also added further updates to the guide to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims during the final days of Ramadan. To facilitate access to the central area around the Grand Mosque, all types of vehicles, including motorcycles and bicycles, will be prohibited. Violators will be towed and subject to traffic violations.

Pilgrims must follow directions from security personnel and use designated entrances, indicated by luminous panels. The guide prohibits transporting personal belongings or engaging in commerce, begging, or smoking. Pilgrims with disabilities can use electric vehicles on the grand floor. A barcode is included for parking lots with maps to help pilgrims reach the Grand Mosque.
