  1. Mix the ingredients

  2. Place a strainer

    In a separate bowl, place a strainer so that it is elevated and not touching the bottom of the bowl. Then, place the cheesecloth into the strainer
  3. Place salt and yoghurt together

    Put the mixture of yogurt and salt into the cheesecloth and secure it by tying it up
  4. Prevent the cheesecloth

    To prevent the cheesecloth from touching the bottom of the bowl, you can place a trivet underneath the bowl and tie the cheesecloth to a wooden spoon resting on top of the bowl
  5. Let it strain

    Letting it strain for up to 48 hours in the refrigerator but 24 hours is also sufficient to achieve a thicker consistency
  6. Serve

    After spreading the strained mixture onto a plate, add your preferred seasoning like garlic and chili flakes or Za'atar, and drizzle some olive oil on top. Serve it with pita bread
