Riyadh's $22 Billion Metro Unveils High-Speed Internet for Passengers

Passengers in Riyadh will be able to enjoy high-speed internet connectivity while traveling through the city's $22 billion metro system.

The move is part of efforts to make the public transportation system more attractive and convenient for passengers, so they can stay connected and productive on the go.

The construction of Riyadh Metro, which has cost the Saudi Arabian government over $22 billion, is a prominent transportation project in the region.

There will be a total of six metro lines, and the first one is planned to be available for public use later this year. The Riyadh Metro, which also spans 176 kilometers, will use driverless electric trains.

In a joint cooperation between Advanced Communications and Electronic Systems and CommScope, passengers will be able to benefit from a fully trusted coverage and a speedy internet once the project launches this year.
