Saudi Arabia announced a major reform of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pricing, introducing a unified national price structure for household gas cylinders and central tanks starting January 1, 2026.
The decision, made by the National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO), aims to eliminate regional price disparities and ensure consistent access to essential energy services across the Kingdom.
Under the new pricing framework, an 11-kg LPG gas cylinder will be priced at SR 26.23, while a 5-kg cylinder will cost SR 11.93. For central gas tanks, the new filling tariff has been set at SR 1.1770 per liter.
GASCO confirmed that these prices include transportation costs and value-added tax (VAT), simplifying the cost structure for consumers nationwide.
Officials said the reform is part of broader efforts to improve governance in energy pricing and ensure that households and facilities throughout Saudi Arabia have reliable and transparent access to LPG products. By standardising prices, the move also supports economic integration and better service quality in line with national development goals.
The unified LPG pricing reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing fairness and transparency in essential services, reducing regional cost gaps, and supporting consumers as part of ongoing energy sector improvements.
