Saudi’s AlUla to Host Luxury Resort by Mexico’s AZULIK

A new resort will be developed by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) as part of the Journey Through Time (JTT) project, in accordance with the Sustainability Charter for AlUla, the Saudi Green Initiative, and Vision 2030.

According to a press release from RCU, the AZULIK AlUla Resort, run by the upscale Mexican company AZULIK and designed by Roth Architecture, will be constructed in the Nabatean Horizon District of the JTT project, close to the AlMutadil Equestrian Village development and Wadi AlFann.

The sand dunes and surrounding mountains in AlUla served as inspiration for the resort's architectural features. It will also include many aspects of sustainability.

Slated to launch in 2027, the resort will feature 76 luxury villas of six different varieties, spa, VIP club, welcome lounges, all-day dining, and a SFER IK museum.

The RCU’s announcement did not reveal information about the costs and schedule of the construction.
