‘Hotel Rwanda’ Director Will Film His Next Movie in NEOM

Oscar-winning director Terry George will shoot his upcoming film 'Riverman' at NEOM in Saudi Arabia. 

The principal photography will be conducted in NEOM in January 2024. The film shooting will also take place in the UK. 

The director said "Riverman is a powerful, highly dramatic war story. I am excited to be directing this great project in NEOM.”

During the last 18 months, some films and TV series have been shot at NEOM including 'Desert Warrior', 'Dunki', 'Million Dollar Island', and 'Rise of the Witches'.

The casting is still in process and the film takes inspiration from the real-life events that occurred between 2001 and 2008 during the war in Afghanistan.
