The sixth phase of the Green Riyadh will see the planting of 46,000 trees in the Al Ghadir neighborhood.

Seven parks, four schools, 28 kilometres of streets and corridors, a health center, as well as four vacant lands will all be planted with trees as part of this project.

Moreover, the afforestation in the residential neighborhoods will be accompanied by conducting events that aimed at educating the neighborhood residents about the start of afforestation in their neighborhood.

The Al Ghadir neighborhood event, which will run from August 24th until September 22nd, will set a future vision for the neighborhood, so residents can see their neighborhood after the completion of afforestation.

Green Riyadh initiative seeks to construct a 100 percent treated water network, plant 7.5 million trees, and increase the vegetation cover in the city by 9 percent.
