The International Fencing Federation has approved the Saudi Arabia as the host country for the largest fencing tournament in the world, the World Fencing Championship for Juniors and Youth 2024.

The flag handover ceremony was concluded in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.
The General Assembly of the International Fencing Federation voted last November and chose the city of Riyadh to host the global event with the participation of more than 1,500 male and female players representing more than 100 countries around the world.
