A phone expert revealed in a short video on “TikTok” that a simple modification in the settings of the Safari iOS browser can help improve the performance of your phone and extend the life of its battery, not only that, but it will relieve users from closing tabs manually from within the application, and therefore your browser will not suffer from a buildup of unused tabs that can slow down your device and reduce battery life.
Simple Steps
To force Safari tabs to close automatically, follow the below steps:
- Open the iPhone Settings app and scroll down
- Tap “Safari”
- Scroll down again and tap “Close Tabs”
- Select from the list whether you want to close tabs after 1 day, a week, or 1 month
