"Messi is a done deal. He will play in Saudi Arabia next season," the source said.

The source added that the deal is "exceptional," and "huge," without disclosing its size.

Messi is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after his contract ends this summer for a €600 million ($660 million) deal from Al Hilal, the cross-town rivals of Al Nassr, which is Cristiano Ronaldo's current team.

Messi, who signed a two-year contract with PSG upon his arrival from Barcelona in 2021, is set to leave the club despite an agreement made before the World Cup in Qatar to extend his stay. Following his absence from training due to a trip to Saudi Arabia, PSG suspended Messi without pay for two weeks.
