When is the Saudi Founding Day?
Saudi Founding Day falls on Feb. 22 of every year and the holiday celebrates Diriyah becoming the first capital of the First Saudi state in 1727.
Saudi citizens and residents will get a holiday on Feb. 22, including employees from all sectors, which means that the country will have a long three-day weekend.

Founding Village
Founding Village is open from Feb. 22 to Feb. 24 across 14 locations in the Kingdom. The Founding Village will feature immersive experiences, which will take visitors through a journey of Saudi Arabia's historical narratives.
The village will also feature traditional crafts, interactive children’s areas, digital innovations, family entertainment, authentic Saudi culinary delights, and much more!
Symphony of the Beginning
This event will take place from Feb. 25 to Feb. 26 and it will feature an orchestral performance featuring the National Music Band and famous Saudi poets and composers.

This is another immersive experience for visitors who want to learn more about Saudi Arabia's history. The event will take place at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.
The venue will have a display of 19 scenes that chronicle the evolution of Saudi Arabia. The display is divided into three zones: The Gathering, The Journey, and The Celebration.

Al Ula will be hosting an exciting programme for Saudi Founding Day from Feb. 22 to Feb. 25. The programme will feature colorful parades, exciting drone shows, traditional handcrafts, traditional foods, and live cooking stations.
Shows and Concerts
There will be various concerts during the Saudi Founding Day holidays, which locals can enjoy!
