Major Accidents, Deaths Decrease by a Margin in Saudi Arabia in 2022

The result of the traffic safety file for the country's most recent year, 2022, was released by the Ministerial Committee of Traffic Safety in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In Saudi Arabia, the number of major accidents has decreased by 6.8%, from more than 18,000 accidents in 2021 to about 17,000 accidents in 2018. According to traffic safety statistics, there were 4,555 traffic-related fatalities in 2022 as opposed to 4,652 in 2021, a 2.1% drop.

The committee reported that compared to 2021, when it reached more than 25,000 injuries, the number of injuries from vehicle accidents decreased by 2.7% in 2022, reaching 24,000.
