The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has officially launched the Orange Line (Line 3) of the Riyadh Metro, marking the completion of the city’s massive metro network. The Orange Line, stretching 41 kilometers, connects Riyadh's eastern and western areas, running from Jeddah Road to the second eastern ring road near Khashm Al-Aan.

This milestone completes the phased rollout of the Riyadh Metro, which began on November 27, 2024, when King Salman inaugurated the project.

Stations Now Open

Passengers can now access the Orange Line at five stations:

  • Jeddah Road Station
  • Tuwaiq Station
  • Douh Station
  • Harun Al-Rashid Road Station
  • Al-Naseem Station (with transfers to the Purple Line)

Additionally, three new stations on the Blue Line are now operational:

  • Al-Morooj Station
  • Bank Al-Bilad Station
  • King Fahd Library Station

These new stations enhance connectivity between Olaya Street and Batha.

Largest Driverless Metro in the World

The Riyadh Metro spans 176 kilometers across six lines, making it the largest metro system in the Middle East and the world’s longest driverless train network. With 85 stations, the metro operates daily from 6:00 AM to midnight, offering a reliable and efficient transportation option for residents and visitors.

Passengers can book tickets through various options:

  • The Darb application
  • Ticket offices at stations
  • Self-service kiosks
  • Digital payment methods

The Riyadh Metro is set to transform the city’s public transport, offering a modern, efficient, and eco-friendly alternative to road travel.
