Saudi astronauts Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni shared their experiences at the International Space Station (ISS) with a group of students in Riyadh by contacting them using amateur radio frequencies. 

The initiative was organized by the Saudi Space Commission; the Ministry of Education and Communications; and the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission. 

The initiative was taken to encourage students' engagement with science and develop their interests in space technologies. 

Barnawi and Al Qarni answered students' questions about living in space, their everyday routine at ISS, and their feelings about their journey to space. 

The Saudi astronauts reached ISS on Monday, May 22nd. The astronauts will conduct 20 research experiments at ISS, among which 14 are developed by the Saudi astronauts that cover human physiology, cell biology, and technology.
