Set to launch its second real-size prototype capsule, Halo Space plans to take off with six test flights from the Kingdom in June, pending approval from Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST). Alongside the US, Australia, and Spain, Saudi Arabia will be one of the four global bases for Halo Space.

Founded in 2021, Halo Space offers luxury space travel experiences using zero-emission, helium-powered balloons, with tickets starting at $164,000. Their goal? To make space travel accessible to 10,000 individuals before 2030.

No specialist training required! Each flight lasts 4-6 hours, with 1-2 hours spent at a peak altitude of 35 kilometers, providing breathtaking panoramic views rarely seen on other commercial space flights.

Saudi Arabia's interest in space travel dates back to 2018 when talks with Richard Branson's Virgin Group fell through. Now, with the launch of the Saudi Space Commission, the Kingdom aims to become a pioneer in this booming sector, projected to reach a staggering $2.2 billion annual value by 2030.
