The national security advisers from the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and India are expected to engage in discussions concerning a potential significant collaborative infrastructure initiative.
The project aims to establish a network of railways connecting Gulf and Arab nations, with additional connectivity to India through shipping lanes originating from ports in the region.

As China's influence expands in the region, the White House views the project as a crucial undertaking to counterbalance and address China's growing presence in the Middle East. China considers the Middle East as a key part of its Belt and Road initiative, and the proposed project is seen as a strategic response to this vision by the United States.
According to two sources, Jake Sullivan, the National Security Adviser of the White House, is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia where he will hold meetings with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and India, where they will discuss the project in question along with other regional matters.
