French Football Star Kante Joins Benzema at Al-Ittihad Saudi Club

N'Golo Kante, the midfielder for Chelsea, has reached an agreement to join the Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad.

N'Golo Kante, a 32-year-old French international, was in talks with Chelsea to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge. However, no agreement was reached, leading to the deal falling through.

Agreements have been made that Kante will move to Saudi Arabia once he becomes a free agent by the end of the month.

A statement posted by the Saudi champions confirming Kante's arrival said: "Kante's addition to Al-Ittihad is considered one of the most high-profile and impactful signings in the club's history.

"Ittihad Club wishes Kante success in achieving the club's goals and fulfilling the expectations of all the club's fans and supporters during his time with the team."

After winning the Premier League title with Leicester, Kante joined Chelsea in 2016.

N'Golo Kante has officially signed a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad, joining his fellow France national team member Karim Benzema at the club.

Al-Ittihad, along with three other teams in Saudi Arabia, is financially supported by the state's Public Investment Fund. Additionally, the fund holds an 80% ownership stake in Newcastle United. The country has been actively pursuing the recruitment of high-profile international players as part of its efforts to strengthen its football talent pool.
