Hajj 2026 Pilgrims Prepare for Arafat After Arriving in Mina

Pilgrims from around the world have successfully arrived in Mina, marking a significant milestone in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. On Monday, they gathered to observe the Day of Tarwiyah, a pivotal stage in the Hajj rituals, as they prepare for the Day of Arafat—the pinnacle of the annual pilgrimage.

A Day of Spiritual Preparation

The Day of Tarwiyah holds deep religious significance, as pilgrims spend the day and night in Mina, following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This ritual precedes their journey at dawn on Tuesday (the ninth of Dhul Hijjah) to the plains of Arafat, where they will stand in prayer and supplication—the greatest pillar of Hajj.

The entrances to Mina witnessed efficient crowd flow, with security, health, and service sectors working in unison to ensure a smooth arrival for pilgrims. Field teams provided necessary care and support from the moment pilgrims reached their designated camps, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Ensures Seamless Pilgrimage Experience

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah closely monitored pilgrims’ arrival and the quality of services across Mina’s camps. Through its field teams and operational centers, the ministry ensured that accommodation, food, guidance, and support services were delivered efficiently. Coordination among all entities within the Hajj ecosystem played a crucial role in facilitating this process.

Nusuk Care Centers Provide Multilingual Support

To further assist pilgrims, the Nusuk Care centers, affiliated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, continued their round-the-clock services across 38 centers and over 160 service locations in Makkah and the holy sites. These centers, staffed by teams fluent in more than 11 languages, have delivered over 180,000 services to date. Their efforts include:

  • Guidance and assistance
  • Interpretation support
  • Handling reports and inquiries
  • Providing humanitarian aid at pilgrims’ locations

Spiritual Serenity at Al-Khayf Mosque

Thousands of pilgrims gathered at Al-Khayf Mosque in Mina, where they performed their obligatory prayers in an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance ensured that integrated services were available to enhance the spiritual experience for all.

Arafat: The Climax of Hajj

The Day of Arafat, which follows the Day of Tarwiyah, is the most sacred moment of Hajj. Pilgrims will gather on the Plains of Arafat, where they spend the day in prayer, reflection, and seeking forgiveness, embodying the essence of devotion and submission to Allah.

As pilgrims continue their journey, authorities remain committed to ensuring a safe, well-organized, and spiritually enriching Hajj experience for all.
