Saudi Arabia and Iran to Resume Flights Between Their Countries

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian agreed to resume direct flights between their two countries at a meeting in Beijing, China on Thursday.

The decision came about after Iran and China decided to restore diplomatic ties in March.

The ministers also agreed to allow mutual visits by official delegations and private sector members.  Both countries have agreed to provide visas for their citizens and this agreement also includes providing Umrah visas for Iranian citizens.

The countries will also work towards reopening diplomatic missions within two months, which include their embassies in Riyadh and Tehran and their general consulates in Jeddah and Mashaad.
