Fourth Batch of KSA's Oil Derivatives Grant Arrives in Yemen

The fourth batch of the Saudi oil derivatives grant, containing 150,000 metric tons of diesel and 100,000 metric tons of mazut, has reached an oil port in Aden, Yemen.

The initiative has been taken by the Kingdom to support Yemen after the country's government requested oil derivatives to operate more than 70 power generation plants in the country.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of KSA Mohammed bin Salman issued the directive. The grant is an extension of previous grants amounting to $4.2 billion.

KSA's oil derivatives grant is part of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY), which has executed 229 development projects and initiatives across Yemeni governates to support the country's people in 7 main sectors including education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture, and fishery. The program also helps with developing the capacity of government institutions and supports other development projects.
