UAE Condemns Houthi Threats and Stands Firm with Saudi Arabia

The UAE has strongly condemned the recent hostile statements made by the Houthi group against Saudi Arabia, which included threats of a maritime blockade.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) urged the international community to enforce UN Security Council resolutions. This includes Resolution 2216 regarding Yemen and Resolution 2722, which protects navigation rights in the Red Sea.

The Ministry highlighted that freedom of navigation in international waters is a basic right. This right is protected under international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Reaffirming its strong bond with its neighbor, the UAE declared its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in taking all necessary measures to protect its security and stability.
