On the eve of Eid Al-Fitr, King Salman addressed Saudi nationals, residents, and Muslims worldwide in a speech given by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary on Thursday. King Salman and the Crown Prince also sent out cables to the leaders of Islamic nations.

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia declared Friday, April 21, as the day of Eid Al Fitr 2023, after the sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal, which is the tenth month in the Islamic calendar and signifies the end of Ramadan.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman wished that the world and Saudi Arabia would experience stability and security with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

The King said, “Praise be to Allah that honored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with serving the Two Holy Mosques to ensure the comfort of pilgrims, and visitors. Among the blessings of Allah is that he made millions of pilgrims perform Umrah during this month of Ramadan in ease and comfort.”

“One of the manifestations of Eid is to show joy, communication, tolerance, and attention to people in need. May Allah keep us happy and pleasant,” he further added.

Leaders of Islamic countries also sent their best wishes to the king and crown prince on the special occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
