The first two Saudi relief airplanes arrived at Port Sudan International Airport early Wednesday, carrying 20 tons of food baskets, shelter, and medical supplies, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The kingdom has operated an air bridge between King Khalid International Airport and Port Sudan International Airport to provide humitarian and medical aid to the war-torn country.
Earlier on Monday, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman directed the King Salman Relief Center to allocate humanitarian and medical aid worth $100 million to the Sudanese people.

Saudi Arabia has evacuated 31 Saudi citizens from war-torn Sudan as well as 1,143 people from other countries amid the ongoing conflict in the African country.
