Big news for worshippers in Madinah — the Qiblatain Mosque will now stay open 24 hours a day following a royal order from King Salman. The move aims to make it easier for visitors and locals to pray at any time, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to improve access to its sacred sites.
Honoring a Historic Landmark
The Qiblatain Mosque, one of Islam’s most important historical mosques, marks the spot where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the divine command to change the Qibla (direction of prayer) from Jerusalem to Makkah. The site remains a powerful symbol of faith for millions of Muslims who visit Madinah each year.
