According to the chairman of the Hajj and Umrah Committee at Makkah Chamber, Abdullah Al-Qadi, this resulted in room prices also climbing to record levels due to high demand.

Hotel room prices in Makkah, especially those in the central region, record a gradual increase as the Ramadan season approaches, and are doubled in the last 10 days of the holy month, Al-Qadi added.

The prices of hotel rooms in the central area of Makkah during the last 10 days of Ramadan ranged between SR3,000 and SR9,000 per day, according to a survey conducted by Al-Eqtisadiah business daily.
