If a pilgrim wants to perform the Umrah rituals, they must get a permit via the Nusuk app or Tawakkalna app, provided they are not infected with COVID-19 or have not come into contact with someone who is.
According to the Ministry, throughout their stay, Umrah pilgrims will have open access to all of the Saudi cities, especially Makkah, Madinah, and other nearby cities.
All pilgrims traveling to Makkah Al-Mukarramah were urged earlier to complete the Umrah at the period allotted for them in the permit and while their visas were still valid.
The Ministry also emphasized that performing Hajj rites is not covered by the visit visa, which is valid for 90 days. The pilgrim needed a visa for the hajj, a Saudi national ID card or residence permission (iqama), and a hajj permit (tasreeh) in order to perform Hajj.
According to the Ministry, this year, the official permits will begin to be issued on May 5, which is the 15th of Shawwal.
