Indian tourism industry leaders predict that Saudi Arabia will emerge as a popular new tourist destination for Indian travelers, with the number of Indian visitors expected to increase double in 2023.

In recent years, India has become an important source market for tourism in Saudi Arabia, and it is anticipated by the Saudi Tourism Authority that it will become the leading market in the coming years. This is due to the development of travel destinations in the Kingdom as part of Vision 2030.

During the month of February, the Saudi Tourism Authority conducted various promotional activities in India, which included a successful roadshow and participation in travel and trade events across the country.

Additionally, the STA entered into a partnership agreement with the Indian Premier League, which is the most-watched T20 cricket franchise globally, to leverage the country's large sports fanbase.

As the STA’s February campaign concluded this week, it announced it was seeking to “welcome more than 2 million Indian visitors” in 2023.

“As part of Saudi’s ambition to achieve 100 million visits annually by 2030, India represents immense potential as it is expected to be one of Saudi’s largest tourism source markets by then.” the STA stated in a statement.
