Madinah and Dubai Declared as Safest Cities for Women to Travel Alone

According to reports from one of the top online travel insurance comparison sites, Saudi Arabia and the UAE top the list of the best locations for women to travel alone in terms of safety, activities to do, and equal treatment.
65 cities were rated by InsureMyTrip based on affordability, safety, female equity, and tourism. The city of Madinah in Saudi Arabia was named among the safest locations in the world. It received scores of 9.29 out of 10 for total safety and 9.3 out of 10 for "absence of worry about attacks based on gender." It also received an 82.75 grade for feeling secure while out alone at night.

With a score of 10 out of 10 for "feeling safe while walking at night alone," Dubai came out on top as the best city in the world for female tourists traveling alone.
The greatest jump in rankings was seen in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, which went from the 60th position in 2022 to 24th place in 2023.
