The Saudi Ministry of Education has directed that all public and private secondary schools in the Kingdom implement the Mandarin Chinese language teaching program at the rate of two classes per week.

According to the ministry's decision, facilitators will be allotted the fourth period of every Sunday and Monday to teach this language, and it will be incorporated into the academic timetable.
It is noteworthy that the decision to teach the Chinese language in Saudi schools was taken during the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the Chinese capital Beijing.
