Saudi Arabia Welcomes First Hajj Pilgrims of 2025

The Hajj season is officially underway — and it’s starting with a heartfelt “Marhaban”!

Saudi Arabia has rolled out the spiritual red carpet as it welcomed the first group of Hajj pilgrims for 2025, marking the beginning of the much-anticipated annual pilgrimage. The inaugural flight landed in Jeddah, carrying 396 pilgrims from Dhaka, Bangladesh, and was personally received by Minister of Transport Saleh Al-Jasser, who signaled the official start of this year's sacred season.

This flight is just the first of many, with thousands of pilgrims expected to arrive in the coming weeks from all over the world to perform one of Islam’s most profound spiritual rites.

To keep things moving smoothly, six major airports across the Kingdom have been designated for Hajj arrivals:

  • King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah
  • Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah
  • Prince Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu
  • Taif International Airport
  • King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh
  • King Fahd International Airport in Dammam

According to Al-Jasser, these hubs are fully equipped with next-level systems and streamlined services to make the Hajj experience “as smooth as possible,” from touchdown to the Holy Sites.

Meanwhile, the Mataf area around the Kaaba saw a rare moment of calm, as Umrah visas have been temporarily paused to make space for the influx of Hajj pilgrims.

With Dhul Hijjah just around the corner, Saudi Arabia is once again showing its unmatched ability to handle the world’s largest annual spiritual gathering — with a focus on safety, efficiency, and soul-deep hospitality.

The journey has begun, and the spirit of Hajj 2025 is already in the air.
