Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo shared that he will remain with Al Nassr Club for the next season of the Saudi Pro League (SPL) in an interview published by SPL.

Ronaldo said in the interview "I’m happy here and I want to continue here and I will continue here,” despite not securing any titles in the current season of the league.

The 38-year-old scored 14 goals in 16 games, however, his team did not secure the SPL title as they finished second behind Al Ittihad. 

Ronaldo spoke optimistically about the next SPL season: "Next year, I am really positive and confident that things will change and we will go in a better way."

In response to the questions about the quality of SPL, Ronaldo said "I think the league is very good, but I think we have many, many opportunities to still grow...its competitive, we have very good teams, very good Arab players. The infrastructure, I think they need to improve a little bit more."

When asked about other big players being linked with the Saudi league like Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema, Ronaldo said: "If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, 'old players', they are very welcome."
