The 31-year-old attacker has signed a three-year contract with the Saudi squad, joining former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The Brazilian spent eight years at Anfield, scoring 110 goals in 361 matches.

With Liverpool, Firmino won seven titles, including the Champions League in 2019 and the club's first-ever Premier League triumph in 2020.

In recent months, Saudi clubs have undertaken a recruitment plan, enticing some of the sport's greatest names to accept contracts with teams in the nation - Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January, and Karim Benzema left Real Madrid to join Al Ittihad earlier this month.

Al Ahli won the Saudi First Division League title last season and will now compete in the Saudi Pro League in 2023/2024.
