Saudi football club Al Hilal signed French-Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly from English football club Chelsea and the club made the announcement on Jun. 25.

The Saudi football club made the announcement on their Twitter page, stating "We’ll continue to make history together" alongside a video featuring Koulibaly dressed in the Al Hilal uniform. 

The club shared another post, which said "Welcome Koulibaly".

Al Hilal has won 66 trophies and they hold the records for the league and Asian Champions titles with eighteen and four respectively.

Koulibaly will make a wonderful addition to the club. The footballer has made 32 appearances for Chelsea and shot two goals for them since he joined them in July 2022. 

The Saudi Pro League witnessed football star Christiano Ronaldo joining Al Nassr in January 2023 and Karim Benzema signed with Al Ittihad in early June.

Al Ittihad has also confirmed that former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is joining them.

There have been reports that Al Hilal is also pursuing Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva for their club.
