Amid the region's high temperatures, Oman is bracing for sporadic rains and thunderstorms over the coming days. The Sultanate's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a warning about an air depression in the Arabian Sea, starting from the evening of July 30 and lasting until August 2.

Weather Advisory
Residents are advised to prepare for cloudy weather, scattered rains of varying intensities, and potential thunderstorms. The CAA also cautioned against overflowing reefs and valleys, which may occur during this period.
Affected Areas
The adverse weather conditions are expected to impact southern, northern, and central regions of Oman, including Muscat and Dhofar. Additionally, the CAA has issued a sandstorm warning for areas such as Adam, Haima, and Marmul.
Regional Impact
Saudi Arabia is also experiencing similar weather patterns. The National Centre of Meteorology in Makkah issued a red alert on Tuesday for heavy rains. Dust storms are predicted in several areas, including the coastal regions of Makkah, until August 3.

The Storm Centre shared a video earlier, showcasing massive clouds, known locally as 'Jizan', dominating the skies during a sandstorm. These storms have been accompanied by thunder and lightning.
