Tuesday’s Forecast Includes Strong Winds and Dust Storms
For Tuesday, the NCM has warned of unstable weather conditions across multiple regions, including strong winds, dust storms, and rain of varying intensity.
In the Mecca region, residents can expect moderate rainfall paired with strong winds. Visibility may drop to near zero in some areas, and there's a risk of hail and flash floods.
Over in Medina, light rain is expected along with gusty winds and low visibility. The forecast is similar for several other parts of the kingdom.
Thunderstorms in Several Regions
Thunderstorms and dust-stirring winds are also expected in:
- The Eastern Province
- The Northern Borders
- Ha’il
- Al Qassim
- Riyadh
- And further south in Al Baha, Asir, and Jazan
These regions may experience reduced visibility due to blowing dust, along with heavy downpours and lightning.
Rain Before the Summer Heat Kicks In
This bout of unsettled weather comes just ahead of the kingdom’s notoriously hot summer, which is still over a month away. Meteorologists are reminding residents to stay alert, especially in flood-prone areas and while driving in low-visibility conditions.
