An unprecedented hail storm pelted down in Saudi Arabia's Taif on Wednesday in a rare phenomenon, delaying traffic on the road between the Taif governorate and the town of al-Hawiyah.

The Taif Municipality's field teams used bulldozers to clear roads and neighbourhoods to restore traffic flow.
Heavy rainfalls occurred across Saudi Arabia this week, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issuing several thunderstorm warnings in the Makkah region.
