The company are implementing this smart service in collaboration with global company SITA and they believe that this is an important step for converting Riyadh's airport into a smart airport to maximize customer satisfaction.

The SITA Smart Path experiment will allow for biometric enrollment, which means that passengers are their own boarding passes because they only have to look at the SITA FacePod’s camera for the system to recognize them and register them in the system.

SITA-assisted aeroplane boarding will reduce boarding time by at least 20% while strengthening security and improving the passenger's airport experience.

Riyadh Airports Company had also launched smart shopping carts at the Khalid International Airport's terminal no. 5, which made the airport the first one in the Kingdom to provide such a service.
