Saudi Arabia's Literature, Publishing & Translation Commission launched the 1st edition of the Writers and Readers Festival on February 23rd, which will take place in 5 different locations.

The festival will run till March 11th in the following locations: Dammam Corniche, Alkhobar Corniche, Qatif Corniche, Dhahran Expo, and King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Ithra.
The festival's motto is “Literary Value from Saudi Arabia to the World” and the CEO of the commission Mohammed Hassan Alwan explained that this festival will celebrate literature from various languages of the East and the West. The festival is also supposed to enhance the cultural scene of Saudi Arabia.
The festival's purpose is to bring people together through the ethics and knowledge shared from different fields during the event.
