Crown Prince Camel Festival Will Be Held in Taif on the 1st of August

Under the supervision of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Camel Federation will organize the Crown Prince Camel Festival  which is set to take place on the 1st of August 2023 in Taif Camel Square.

Winners of the race will have an award that is worth SR56.255 million, according to the Saudi Camel Federation. The festival will consist of almost 600 rounds and a huge number of local & international camel owners will compete in the festival.

The festival opening event will start with a preliminary race consisting of 350 rounds, which will be held between the 1st and the 12th of August.

Since the festival was first held in 2018, it has succeeded in attracting a vast number of camel lovers & enthusiasts from all over the world.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the festival aims to preserve and promote Saudi Arabia's camel history. Over the years, the festival has generated revenues through the various events that supported this heritage & maintained its place on a global scale. It is also a great opportunity that sheds light on the culture surrounding camels in Saudi Arabia, and other Arab and Islamic traditions.
