Expo Doha 2023 Promotes Sustainable Lifestyle at Floriade Expo 2022

In addition to allowing tourists to fully experience it at Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar is presenting its concept of sustainability at the international horticulture show Floride Expo 2022 in Almere, the Netherlands. Ever since the Floriade Expo 2022 was introduced, Qatar has made the most of its pavilion to advertise Expo 2023 Doha, luring tourists and providing a variety of activities to advance Qatar's ambitious aim of a greener and more sustainable environment. The pavilion hosted ceremonies for Qatar National Day on September 2 and 3.

As Floriade 2022 comes to an end on October 9, Qatar made the decision to move its National Day activities early to the pavilion so that guests may become familiar with the vibrant national culture. As part of the celebration, Qatar's pavilion provided participants of all ages with interactive activities centered on sustainability, agriculture, and the environment. These activities reflected Qatar's 'Green Desert' approach to agriculture and horticulture to address important environmental concerns.

High-ranking government figures and officials have attended the early festivities of Qatar National Day, including HE Nasser bin Ibrahim Al Langawi, Qatar's ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and HE Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, minister of municipal affairs. The event was also attended by Mohammed Ali Alkhoori, the secretary-general of Expo 2023 Doha, who used the occasion to thank the Netherlands for hosting Floriade 2022 and highlight the close ties between the two nations. He said: "Qatar and the Netherlands have significant trade relations, but the horticultural field is also an important area of cooperation. We are committed to advancing and advancing the horticultural industry, and it will be an honor to host the Netherlands in Doha for Expo 2023. We are confident that the Netherlands' knowledge of horticulture, agriculture, environmental protection, and sustainability will be very helpful to Expo 2023 Doha. Qatar has held a number of events hosted by the Expo 2023 Doha team under the direction and patronage of Haifa Alotaibi, events and communications manager, as part of its effort to promote Expo 2023 Doha and familiarize the audiences with its goals and vision.

With the understanding that today's youngsters will soon become the drivers of sustainable change and lead the way for a greener future, there was a great focus on children's activities at these events, even if they appealed to guests of all ages. In keeping with this, Expo 2023 Doha will also make investments in youth-focused projects, providing them with chances to learn more about environmental problems, and viable solutions, as well as the contribution that agriculture and horticulture provide to creating a greener world. Under the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment," Expo 2023 Doha will be held with the intention of highlighting the value of horticulture through four sub-themes: contemporary agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability.

Mohammed Ali Alkhoori and other government representatives have made several trips to Floriade Expo 2022 as part of the ongoing preparations for Expo 2023 Doha and Qatar's commitment to contribute to the global sustainability agenda in order to benefit from other participants' experiences and learn about the most recent technologies and bring this expertise to Expo 2023 Doha.
