Saudi Arabia Hosts Reception for Riyadh's Expo 2030 Bid in Paris

Saudi Arabia hosted an official reception for Riyadh's bid to host Expo 2030 in Paris, which was attended by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of KSA Mohammed bin Salman

The Crown Prince is also the Chairperson of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) and is on a state visit to France, therefore he attended the reception for the bid.

The reception was part of the nomination procedure to host Expo 2030 and the event hosted representatives of 179 member states of the International Bureau of Expositions.

The reception showcased Riyadh's eligibility to host the Expo 2030 before the final voting to select the host city at the next General Assembly meeting in November 2030.

The RCRC hosted the event and showcased the richness of Saudi Arabia and its capital's historical and cultural legacies.

The reception also emphasized the city's distinct geographical location, highly developed infrastructure, and the city's political and economic presence.

The exhibition featured a virtual tour of Riyadh in 2030, which included the city's most popular landmarks and major projects including Sports Boulevard, King Salman Park, Diriyah Gate, Qiddiya, and others.

Participants in the event included a high-level Saudi delegation, member states of the BIE, senior officials from France and Saudi Arabia, members of international organizations such as UNESCO, and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in France.
